Anthony had yet another amazing experience on this journey. He spent a week at the Cotton Hills Recording Studio. Not only did he work with Ray, the owner of the studio, but also had the pleasure of working with vocal coach Kelly Bird.
The three songs that Anthony recorded were "One Step At A Time" by Jordan Sparks, "I'll Stand By You" by the Pretenders remade by Carrie Underwood and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder.
He picked these three songs because they show his vocal range and his ability to perform songs of all different genres. Anthony's demo will be sent to Nashville, Los Angeles and New York City. Keep your fingers crossed. Thank you to Kelly, Ray, Margherita and everyone else at Cotton Hills. Listen to Anthony's songs.
On December 6th Anthony was a very busy young man.
He sang at the Palace Theatre at 3:00pm with the Music Studio and the Albany Symphony Orchestra for the Magic of Christmas Show. The Music Studio kids sang "Christmas Is Coming" which is a medley of Christmas songs arranged by Paul Gerike, a composer from Minnesota. Paul wrote a solo for Anthony on Frosty The Snowman.
After the show was over (around 5:15pm), Anthony and his family gathered his things and went to the Times Union Center right up the street to sing the National Anthem for the Siena College / SUNY Albany game. The Anthem was sung by Anthony infront of almost 14,000 screaming fans at 7:00pm.
When Anthony was finished, his family flew back up South Pearl street to the Palace Theatre once again for the 7:30pm show with the Albany Symphony. Saturday was sure a busy day. Sunday the 7th there was only one show at The Palace Theatre at 3:00pm; an easy day in comparison.
Needless to say, it was a busy but very fun and exciting weekend.
