Kellie Pickler Tribute - Come Back To Me
Anthony and his brother Louis have written three
original songs and recorded them. Louis, age 11, usually writes the music and
Anthony, age 8, writes the words. Their favorite song Come Back To Me
Now is a ballad that was inspired by American Idol, Kellie Pickler.
As we watched Season 5 and got to know Kellie's personal story of how her Dad was in and out of jail and her Mom left her at a very early age, Anthony began to wonder how it would feel to be in Kellie's shoes. This past June, Louis was playing around at the piano and came up with a really nice melody. We quickly wrote down the chords and within an hour Anthony had the lyrics done.
When we asked him how an 8 year old came up with such grown up lyrics, he told us the story about how Kellie has always been one of his favorite Idols and her story really touched him. He said that Come Back To Me Now is "about losing someone you love like a Mom or a Dad like Kellie experienced". After listening to his own song a few times, Anthony said ,"it could also be like a boy friend / girl friend song but deep down in my heart I know its about Kellie". So get ready world.....for the first time ever, a Gargiula original.
