Bowling Against Bullying Event April 29, 2012

Anthony Gargiula and the AG Dance Crew announce the 2^nd Annual Bowling Against Bullying Event on April 29^th, 2012 at Spare Time Latham, 375 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham, New York from 12:00 – 4:00.  Proceeds will benefit the Kids Empowerment Programs and will be used to bring anti bullying education and programming to the Capital Region.

Anthony is a 12 year old 7^th grader at Bethlehem Middle School and is a singing sensation who has been on the Ellen Degeneres Show 3 times, the Today Show and the CBS Early Show.  He has sung the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for the NY Knicks 4 times.  Anthony is also the youngest singer to perform on the main stage at Carnegie Hall.  Anthony has sung the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Jacksonville Jaguars, Minnesota Twins, LA Dodgers, for NASCAR’s Sylvania 300, Belmont Stakes and twice for the prestigious Major League Baseball Hall of Fame Induction in Cooperstown.  Anthony’s first CD called “Finally Done” is available for purchase on I-Tunes.

Although Anthony has obtained all of this success at such an early age, he has experienced a lot of bullying along the way and still does.  Last year, Anthony’s Social Studies teacher, challenged his students to “Make the world a better place”.  Anthony decided to hold a “Bowling Against Bullying” event.  He raised and donated just under $500 to “Teens Against Bullying”.  This year, 1 day before Anthony’s 13^th birthday, he is going to do it again.  Anthony’s goal this time is to raise $10,000 with the help of local businesses and corporate sponsors. The event will include a live DJ, silent auction, 50/50, face painting and other surprises. Anthony and the AG Dance Crew will be performing at the event as well.

Tickets are $15 and include pizza, soda, bowling shoes & 2 games of bowling.
